Against the backdrop of rapid global economic expansion and increasing population, the sustainable use of land resources has become a critical issue of concern for governments and the academic community around the world. Land green use efficiency, an essential measure for assessing the quality of land resource use, is crucial not only for the sustainable development of economies and societies, but also for the protection and improvement of ecological environments. Land use policies, as important government instruments for regulating the use of land resources, have an undeniable impact on the efficiency of green land use. For example, in recent years, China has implemented a series of land use policies, such as the construction of high-quality agricultural land and the return of agricultural land to forests, which have profoundly affected land market developments and changed land use methods, thereby has contributed to better agriculture. efficiency of land green use. However, there is still a lack of systematic research and understanding of how these beneficial land use policies reshape land use patterns and systematically influence the efficiency of green land use.
This research topic aims to establish a theoretical and practical platform for systematically assessing both the direct and indirect effects of land use policies on the efficiency of land green use, thus promoting the study and practical application of land use policies, land management and sustainable development. It also aims to develop innovative solutions to the challenges posed by these policies, by raising government and public awareness of their effects on land green use efficiency. Therefore, we invite contributions that apply new theories/concepts, data analysis and evaluation methods to land and environmental management from perspectives such as government, corporate and individual decision-making, change management strategies, leadership and communication practices. We welcome empirical and theoretical submissions, as well as literature reviews and interdisciplinary studies.
Topics of interest include the following:
• Innovative methods for assessing the impact of land use policies on the efficiency of land green use
• Analysis of the impact of land use policies on practical land use resilience
• Research into the social and environmental consequences of the efficiency of land green use
• Analyze the impact of urban expansion and rural land consolidation policies on green land use efficiency
• Research into the effects of synergy and interactions between urban and rural areas in the field of green land use
• Evaluation of the effects of land use adaptation policies under the pressure of climate change and urbanization
• International case studies on sustainable land use policies and green land use efficiency
• Investigate the impact of changes in urban-rural land structure on the efficiency of land green use
• Spatial factor allocation of land between urban and rural areas and efficiency of green land use
• Other related topics
Keywords: Sustainable development, land use policy, green land use efficiency, policy impact assessment, land management
Important note: All contributions to this research topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements.
